Additional Modifications Last Night

Additional modifications were made to the server last night which include the following:

  • Alogrithm for determining your maximum HP/MP/SP updated. The new algorithm provides a more linear gain for these by assigning your stat points in each of the corresponding areas (Physical, Mental, Spiritual). A maximum of 120 HP/MP/SP can be aquired under the new system
  • When using healing salve you will gain one additional HP per healing cycle when you reach 100.0 skill point and another additional HP when reaching the 200.0 skill. The skill still continues contributes linearly to the time between healing cycles however stamina also plays a bigger part in it.
  • The Regenerate spell now looks at your Druidry skill for the amount of HP gained per cycle. The amount gained is still a random range with your skill factored in.
  • Reverends can will now totallyrefill your SP for a small donation of 10 gold peices. (Dark Priests will do the same for evil players)
  • Minimum and Maximum damage ranges when factoring in strength were further tweaked.
  • Bug Fix: Earth elemental corpses now appear properly rather than loot falling to ground.
  • Bug Fix: Fixed an issue that was resulting in a crash when Keeper of Dead was making skeletons from corpses

Players Guide Updated

Two new sections were finished in the players guide:

  1. Instructions on how to set hot keys. This is fairly important to know how to do to have an enjoyable game play experience
  2. The active area map for Beta 1 was added to the players guide to provide guidance and understanding.

Server maintenance in progress

We are currently upgrading the server and adding some new things to the game. The maintenance will last slightly longer than expected. It should be up in 1 hour (2:15 PM Est).

additions/changes include:

  • New Creature: Earth elemanls added to level 2 of mines, very strong against physical attacks, weak against magic
  • New Spell: (Druidry, Ranger) Create Food
  • Damage dealt by players will now be slightly weaker and more random (Esp noticable at higher levels)
  • Some barbarian weapons have were given a speed decrease to balance them.
  • Gold Nuggets were added to the game and can be sold to bankers.
  • Blacksmith now sells a new weapon: War Hammer
  • The Barbarian can now throw small axes
