Title: FROClient has stopped working.

Thats what i get now everytime I click the button to join the server, I've tried compatibility mode and runing as admin but it wont work.

Still getting the same thing, tried to open directly from folder instead of the short cut and it did'nt do anything. I noticed in the patch folder all the files are compressed, like not unzipped. Think that may be an issue?

I need some more information to diagnose your problem. Does your game launch to a black window at all? If so do you get to the server selection screen?

I get to select the realm (Moon Haven) then I click play and it immediately goes to a grey screen with the FROClient has stopped working. Windows is searching for a solution to the problem. But it never finds one and then closes it completely... lol. Hope that helps diagnose this problem, I really want to try the game out!

Yes it does help. Thats good you dont have a video or sound problem, you were able to patch against the normal server so it eliminates a lot of possibilities. Follow the steps below:

1. Assuming you installed the application to the default location delete the c:\program files\fantasy realm online\content\Moon Haven folder. (If you installed it in a different location then go to that location to the content folder and remove the Moon Haven folder under there.

2. Make sure you run FROClientPatcher.exe or use the shortcut placed on your desktop, it should prompt you to elevate to run the program as an elevated user under Windows 7 or Windows Vista automatically. The game will not run unless elevated permissions are used.

This will force your client to repatch and reinitialize all settings. If you do not have a moon haven folder please let me know.

I deleted the Moon Haven folder then double clicked the shortcut on my desktop. It started downloading the patch again and after that it did the same thing again...

Did it fail at a specific verson or patch number? Do you recall? Or did it finish patching as far as you could tell?

Also what version of Windows are you running? What country are you connecting from? Do you own another PC to try installing it on (see if we experience the same issue).

Installs have been pretty smooth so far, early on we did run into some internationalization issues with time parsing but those issues have been resolved.

I'm pretty sure it finished patching. I live in USA and using windows 7.
