The requirements below are base recommendations to run Fantasy Realm Online, the game may run on computers with lower statistics than the ones listed below. We will adjust the recommendations once we have received input from our beta testers/
Pentium/AMD class processor, 1.8Ghz or Greater (x86/x64)
1.5GB of RAM or More
OpenGL Compatible Video Card with 64MB of Video Ram or more
Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Most popular distributions of Linux (Fedora, SuSe, Ubuntu, etc...)
Note to Linux Users: We strongly recommend you have the proper video drivers installed to get the best performance. Generally the default drivers installed by Linux use software implementations of OpenGL and do not take advantage of your hardware.
Open or double click the downloaded MSI file. An installer window will launch similar to the one below:
Click the next button after the installer appears. You will be prompted to specify the location that you want to install Fantasy Realm Online, the default is C:\Program Files\Fantasy Realm Online. If you are satisfied with the location click next or change the selected location. Note: that we recommend you have 3 - 6 GB space available in the location you select for patches and content that is not initially installed with the game.
After you select next the installer will confirm that you are ready to continue with the install. Click Next. The installer will begin installing Fantasy Realm Online on your PC. If you are running on Windows Vista or later you may be prompted with a User Account Control dialog like the one below. If you are prompted select Yes from the dialog.
Now you are ready to run the game. Please see Launching The Game.
