Update Coming To Armor Calculations...

An update will be released sometime in the next week that will change the way that armor reduces damage. The change will be retroactive for all armor in the game. Currently armor offers little variations in the damage your character receives making enemies much less challenging to fight with extremely high level armor. While we want good armor to offer exceptional protection, we do not want it to make your character invulnerable.

To help balance armor we will be making all armor protect in +/- 20 or 25% range rather than a static value. So if your armor has 50% protection from swords today, the armor will protect you from 25 - 50% now instead. Each time that piece of armor is hit the range will be evaluated between the minimum and maximum protections. If a protection is less than the range then the range will be from 0 to that percentage (for example 0 - 10%).

The goal is to allow for more damage variation which will make mobs more challenging at higher levels.
