items that require say 120 leather working says you lack the skill to make the item even though i have 131 leatherworking, this has happened several times with various items in crafting, leatherworking and blacksmithing.

Some items require more than one skill to craft, (Example in blacksmithy is splintmail). Are you able to give me some more details about what you are trying t ocraft?

i was working on the rogue's gloves when i posted this, had the hides and snake's skin, it says needed skill 120, mine was 131, was not able to actually attempt it until i had 135 skill. can't remember the others i was having problems with.

currently, trying to make thick rogue's vest, requires 145 skill, i have 150 and cannot attempt it

Ok I will take a look at those

I did some investigating into how I wrote this before... If you are using thick leather with the rogue gear rather than regular leather there is a 15 point skill penalty because its better material. This is true for most types of materials being used across the different crafting skills.
