It would be really nice to be able to bind a spell to a key without needing it in your spellbook.  It doesn't matter getting an etched weapon and taking advantage of not needing the scroll if you can't bind it without it being in your spellbook anyway.

What ethced did you get on your staff? Every time I get a etched staff its for necromancy/black magic which I can't cast anyways :(.

Also good eye on that, etches does seem pointless if you can't hotkey them.

Eh, I've got a lot of etched staves of every school of magic.  And I should correct myself.  Wearing the staff puts it in your spellbook, but you still can't bind it.

They should appear in your spell book... once you have the weapon equipped allowing you to set your hot key. Equip the weapon, set the hot key... you wont be ablt to set it without the weapon equipped. Let me know if that works.

It didn't work having the staff equipped.  It shows up in the spell book, I can click the cast spell button in the spell book to cast it, but it does not show up on the list for binding it to a key.
