Title: General Suggestions

Suggestions:

General Stores – While playing the game running from shop to shop contributes to play time largely, while this may be good or bad you can optimize it by adding a general store. Traditionally they buy all items that you’re willing to sell; other players may then buy them as in normal shops. Without them, players may spend far too much time looking for the necessary shop for each of their items.

Auction House – Action houses would be used by players to sell, trade, or bid on items in a current auction. This are a must in any MMORPG, they are normally very popular among players and a generally expected.

Cash Shop – This is in nearly in every online game, though the game is ‘non-profit’ this will most likely be in the game regardless. A cash shop is a market of items setup monthly, weekly, or even daily by the games creator. To buy any item from the cash shop a player must spend real money on buying credits. Generally all items in the cash shop are rare or exclusive. Most items within the shop are worth getting, but like every other shop, not all items are worth buying. These items should not be over powered, yet they should have a strong appeal.

Banks – Changing the banks from chests to NPCs would be a nice change. Going from evil to good your items do not change banks, but say you add a NPC you could pay a small fee to send items from bank to bank, these NPCs could also hold said item witch would eliminate the need for the banking chests. The NCPs would be far more appealing to the player than chests and would ease game play.

Spell Damage – when and before you add a spell you could simply remove ‘large’, ‘medium’, and ‘weak’ amounts of damage. Instead replace them with the actual number damage it deals: 1-10, 10-20, 15-19, ect.

Show damage – After hitting your opponent or being hit by your opponent show the amount of damage that is dealt, this would apply to melee, range, and magic damage.

Repairs – A new convenient thing to add would be the ability to repair armor while it’s equipped to you. Another useful thing would be to add portable repair hammers, the trips to town become quite tedious when you’re across the map.

Levels – Showing the levels of NPCs and of other players would help players PVP and find NPCs to train on near their level.

Prestige – Possibly after Level thirty, sixty, and ninety you have a choice of advanced classes? They could branch off of the class you’ve already picked; you could also add tests or trials to obtain the advanced version. The classes could contain new skills or spells, better stats, and could lead to a more in depth storyline.

An example of the prestige system:

Levels:         (Level 6)           (Level 30)  (Level 60) → (Level 90)

Knight → Evil → Black Knight → Sapper → Leech → Soul Devourer

→ Shadow Warrior → Salient Shadow → Reaper

→ Diabolic Knight → Corrupt Entity → Angel of Death

→ Good → White Knight → Guardian → Defender → Safeguard

→ Sacred Knight → Royal guard → Crusader

                                                             → Paladin → Hallowed Entity→ Archangel

Mage → Evil → Sorcerer/Sorceress → Warlock/Witch→ Wraith → Soul Beckoner

                                                                 → Supreme Magician → Archmage → Demigod

                                                                 → Necromancer → Lich → Lich King

          → Good → Magician → Cleric → Priest → Bishop

                                                 → Seer → Spellbinder → Prophet

→ Battle Mage → War Mage → Diviner

Solid Players – At the moment players cannot walk through each other nor can we walk through NPCs. This causes several problems, since you cannot walk through NPCs, such as guards, they occasionally block your path by simply standing against a tree or building. Now, players may do this same thing, players can do it with much more ease, I recommend you change this for this very reason.

Pickup – A quicker way to pickup items out of a fallen enemy, possibly a ‘loot all’ option or simply pressing shift + left clicking, moving the items directly from the fallen enemies bag to your bag.

Reset – Possibly drink a potion or read a scroll in which it’ll reset your skills. This may reset the player’s spells if the requirements are not met. Obviously the player will get said skill points back, to put them into a more desired place. These should not be easy to come across; these should only be given out after completing a chain of quests or paying a very large amount of coin for one.

Mounts – Mounts are a essential thing to add to any MMORPG. As your levels progress game play speed slows down, with mounts travel speed increases inevitably bouncing out game play and travel. Mounts could be earned by doing high level quests, buying them from the cash shop, or trading them from player to player.

Teleportation Spells – A way in which players can teleport from town to town would create a much more simplistic game. The time you spend walking from place to place would be greatly decreased and could be put to a much better use.

Maps – An in-game world map would be very useful for a lot of players including myself. This would make traveling far more easily.

Mini-map – With the mini-map fairly useful as it is, I’d love to see nearby players and NPCs identified on it. Players being identified from enemies on your mini-map would be very useful, and having players added to your friends list or in your clan identified from other normal players would also be a great feature to add.

Clans/Parties – Adding clans makes PVP more of a team effort. This would intrigue players to interact with each other far more often and create easier trade

Chat – We’d all love to see multiple chat menus. Possibly one menu for clan/parties, trade, local, and friends, at this point in time it’s quite hard to communicate with people if you’re not near them. This supports nearly every aspect of the game and is in dire need.

Mute Buttons – Simply add a mute button at the menu and in game, it would stop players from having to exit entirely from the game to stop hearing the menu sounds.

Arrows– A nice addition to the game would be having a small chance to get some of your arrows back out of a NPC after killing it. Going back and forth is quite tedious, not to mention pricy for a player starting out.

Weather – Within the game there is weather, correct? So, I feel like it’s appropriate to add specific enemies that spawn in the correct weather conditions. This could change the whole dynamic of the game, specific enemies and bosses could change elementally or location wise.

Safe Zones – At the moment towns are not a ‘safe zones’, nor are any other areas. I cannot tell you how annoying this is; players can simply sit in town and kill players. I’ve seen players quit for this very reason. I propose you set aside areas within the game as 'safe zones' obviously they function as they normally would. PVP cannot be conducted within safe zones.

Varying Enemies – I’d like to see enemies that change from the original enemy itself.  Obviously weather affects what they become at spawn along with elemental attributes they get such as resistance and what they deal. This would create a new useful aspect to the game. Drops could be determined differently for each difficulty. EXP should also be differed depending on the end result of the enemy; the easier the less, the harder the more, obviously this gain/lost amount varies depending on the enemy itself.

Example of the forms:

Ratmen

              → Normal → Peaceful

                                  → Blood

                                  → Enraged

              → Big → Peaceful

                          → Blood

                          → Enraged

              → Giant   → Peaceful

                                → Blood

                                → Enraged

Outfits – A few players don’t like the way some of the armors look. Enchanted armors also follow; enchanted armors have a glow, in which it changes colors depending on what it resists. I propose items that cover what you’re currently wearing. These items would range from helmets to gloves; they would cover absolutely every item that can be worn (excluding rings and amulets). These items would not contribute any advantages and are only for appearance. (Yes, I know there are capes and tunics, I'm speaking of adding different pieces. Ex: Boots, gloves, helmets, ect.)

Item Breakdowns – With the new merchant class you can craft armors. I propose that you add a feature, possibly a NPC, which allows you to breakdown already crafted items for a fee. Obviously the amounts of recourses received are decreased from the original amount.

Stat Spy – Stat Spy would be a midlevel skill, in which it would allow a player to see other play/NPCs stats (possibly for a timed period?).

Arrow Pouch – This equipment would be designed for players with the archery skill, this equipment would pickup arrows automatically from copses the player has defeated. (Possibly take up the cape slot?)

Elixir Refinement – This would add potions or elixirs to the game that may be used on items giving them a additional bonus to predetermined stats, including elemental properties.

Alchemy – Allowing players to transmute items into another form, these transmuted items could be used to create potions or refine items.

Herblore – Allowing players to use transmuted items or reagents to create potions or medical items.

Merchant Specific Items – These items would range from small to large; they would improve the merchant skill, helping overall play for that class. (Examples below)

Backpacks: This item would ease carrying items for merchants by either dividing the total weight of a player by a fixed number or by adding a bonus total weight to said player. (Possibly replace capes?)

Amulets/Rings: Items allowing merchants to refine their skill that much more. With this players could pull more loads quicker with more effectiveness.

Special Boss Material – These materials would obviously drop from boss, they would be items used to create weapons of extreme power. These weapons created would be exclusive items only able to be obtained through trade or trading them from player to player. These items would generally look different than their typical form, they’d have a completely original design. (Example below)

Material  Result

Dragon scale (27) + Platinum Platemail  Dragon Platemail

Dragon scale (19) + Platinum Knight Shield  Dragon Knight Shield

Ice Shards (16) + Platinum Claymore  Frigid Blade

  •  Dragon Scale could be obtained by killing the Dragon.

  •  Ice Shards could be obtained by killing the Ice Which

Corpses – When a player has stacked corpses or simply an item under a corpse you are unable to retrieve the item(s) form the ground or the corpses. I propose you add a scrolling system, this would add a menu (before the monsters bag appears) listing the items and the corpse(s), both identified by the color of the name of the item in the menu. Players would be able to drag (if it’s an item) or double click (if it’s a corpse) the item having it do its normal function.

Yes, I know a few of these have been mentioned in different threads, but I feel like they deserve to be brought up in a more resent thread.

Thanks.

About the mute button, you only have to go to options then click the speaker. After that it shows you differant sound you can adjust ( music, sound fx, ambience, and footstep). Although having a small button that 0's everything would be convient.

From what I know this does not work for the menu. Just adding a mute button for the menu and in game is far more convenient. :3

I agree with all of them except with the classes, because I didn't read. indecision Although I totally disagree with the cash shop, or at least by your definition of what a cash shop is...

Please continue to add/edit from your list, while I do not have time to go through each one, analyze and respond at this time since I am in the middle of a patch, I will eventually use your feedback as input. We really do appreciate feedback and input it helps us develop the game better.

Thanks

Chris

Well thanks for your feedback. As for the cash shop, nearly every MMORPG has one, it's soul purpose is really to fund the game. Chris will most likely add this to help him expand, hire professionals, and pay for advertisements.

Chris, thanks for the feedback, I'll try to add to it. :)

Haze, I don't agree in your definition in this:

Cash Shop– This is in nearly in every online game, though the game is ‘non-profit’ this will most likely be in the game regardless, a cash shop is a market of items setup monthly, weekly, or even daily by the games creator. Now that I look back on it I might have made it a little misleading, it's not to set a unfair advantage to players, but is to encourage players to spend money on the game. At this point I'm agreeing with you, I'll come up with a more suitable description.

Think you for bringing it to my attention. :)

All icategory idea above at the very top are all great ideas EXCEPT cash shop.   NO cash shop.  This is a FREE game.  We dont' need players gaining advantages just because they can pay for it.  ALL items and quests and the such need to be achived in game with hard work and NO short cuts.  Otherwise; this game will end up being really lame and pointless like all the others already reaking the internet.
