Should get a permenant stat bonus for maxing some skills.

Like Swords could add some stam/faith

Axes add str/stam

Hammers add str

Flails add int/str

etc

 

Mostly weapon skills, just as incentive for mastering them all. Wizards can learn flail/whips but i have no idea why i would. Kind of another way to buff your character without actual levels.
