I just got attacked by other player while I was a merchant.. thought that merchant characters couldn't be attacked by other players.

Please tell me if I was wrong :D

Sadly merchants are allowed to be slaughtered like lambs. But in most sandbox games the harvesters/crafters were always where the money was at for pvp. Usually a free kill and great loot to pawn off to another or even to the same crafter.

 

Were not all defenseless though. We do get the hiding skill which we can mine invisibly and we usually mine in caves so if someone does have sense hidden theres lots of corners to tacticly invis with. If you don't feel like loosing what you have mined make 2 merchants. One for crafting and the other for mining which you keep under level 30 so they can't loose there ores.

Ah okay.. yes hiding skill is pretty handy when mining and chopping trees but when moving from point A to B it's useless.

And in other games i've played resource gatherers were able to defend themselves because there were no specific class like merchants.

But that second merchant character is a good idea :D
