Hello Developers,

I started playing this game when it first came out and lately I have taken a break waiting for the housing to be implemented.  I checked on your updates everyday and even realized that I would like to play as a  merchant ONLY in this game. 

However:

I had NO IDEA that this game would ever be a PREMIUM game.  I thought I finally found a game that had a nice fantasy world and would be enjoyable to play WITH HOSUING.  Lets cut to the chase:

I think the game will LOST half  (50%) of it's players now that the BASIC package no longer can own at least 1 house of thier choosing.  Come on now:  1 house is not asking for much and without the ability for ALL players to make a plesant ownership of land somewhere in the world:  I feel this game is MONOPOLIZED for Premium players only.  Having multiple houses does not mean the game is better; in fact it sounds kind of pointless to me.  It's about decorating it nicely for personality reasons that makes a player enjoy the housing game option.  Now that I described this as well; DON"T take that option away either as it will make the HOSUING option useless. All players need 1 house to store all thier stuff in separate chests to stay organized and feel like the game has meaning. 

ALLOW all players at least 1 FREE housing spot of thier choosing.  Especially beta players like me who have been waiting for the game world to be a lot more developed before I work my butt off to determine how I will change the world in the game.

I am rather sad at this point and might have to look for another game since once again another game on the internet is LIMITING options for how to play the game.

Virtual Democracy is about allowing Freedom of movement, Freedom of choices, and freedom of ownership through resources gained in a game.  Take any one of these elements and the game loses it's charm.

 

Please consider making money NOT in the game but advertising it and affliliate marketing on the website to keep the game alive and your pockets full. I think a lot of players really thought this game was going to be 100% FREE and enjoyable.

I am glad that you have been enjoying the game through beta, you have offered a lot of suggestions and input to the game.  Both criteria for receiving a free premium account upgrade (So rest assured you and many other BETA testers will receive your free account upgrade, this was stated on the front page)... Housing was implemented back in November so I hope you are not still waiting for that :-)

Now lets get to the meat of the discussion...

The reason we are implementing basic and premium accounts is to help recoup some of the investment that has been made over the last couple of years and so we can continue to develop the game in the coming future, I personally have thousands of hours of my life invested in the game and 10s of thousands of dollars invested.

The reason we choose housing as an upgrade feature is that housing places additional demand on the server in terms of memory, storage and cpu so this is the most logical place to recoup costs. Not owning a house or property also does not take away from the core game or concepts of the game.

We are also not asking players to make any kind of significant investment or commitment... May I remind you it is a one time fee of 5.00 US dollars. There is no monthly fees or costs. While I wish we could recoup are costs just by advertising we cannot, at least right now. Most advertising agencies pay by volume, and it is unlikely to get that kind of volume at our site.

We hope that you stay and play in Moon Haven. We have put much into building the world and will continue to do so and as much as we enjoy doing it, it is important we start to make some of the costs back.

Oh My! I am soooo happy again!  I had no idea that I earned a Premium account and I literally now have the happiest smile on my face!  I PROMISE with my new earned premium account to continue looking for ways to improve your game and the way the community responds to it.  Please kindly let me know when the upgrade is finalized so I can make my new character and start gallivanting for new ideas.....
