How does throwing work?

I have tried to test this skill, and I can't even get a throw.  I have the axe skill, I have the throwing skill, I have equipped a throwable axe.  Nothing happens while attacking a skeleton archer at 2 squares away. 

I tried the same thing with swords and a dagger.

Is this skill working yet?

You have to double left click the item you want to throw (can be in your bag) then click (or hit the number) of the mob you want to throw it at. It uses up the item as well so throwing is very expensive skill and limited due to blacksmith only selling 3 weapons every hour or so, fun to look at though. If you plan to use throwing I highly recommend making a merchant smith to mass craft the weapons.

 

If you don't have enough skill level to throw the weapon your trying to it'll state it above the chat window.

 

On a good note you can throw weapons while meleeing to really increase your damage output. You may get annoyed over time since theres no hotkey to throw yet.
