Title: Barbarian falling short?

Don't get me wrong, I really enjoy my barbarian.  But in the end, because of only getting 50 concentration they just fall short of the knight.

Every skill worth doing or getting requres spirit as a cost.  The knight has a larger selection of skills compared to the barberian, plus they can regenerate spirit.  The knight can use every weapon the barberian can as well.  And the heavy armor makes much better survivability too.

Now yes the barbarian can get 200 adrenalin and the knight cannot.  But when you think about it, you will really only be able to use adrenalin once before you are out of spirit.  And thats after craming 200 skill points into it.  So unless I want to run to the reverend every 3 mobs, I am stuck doing nothing more than hitting with my normal weapon with no special skills.

Just curious to what others think.  Am I missing something?

Solo wise I do feel like barbarians got the short end of the stick. But they get 100 more skill in axes than knights and they have insanelly fast attack speed compaired to the knight. In a group the barbarian will far out dps the knight since you'll probably want to fight the bigger mobs which usually have very high resistances to everything but axes. As well with wizard mobs there damage will really help so they die faster.

With flails you can easily get max attack speed and can get 200 skill in without having to choose a town for it like the knight. With the whips/flails you can actually solo stuff a lot sooner than the knight like orcs, minotaurs, and ice elementals.

Like you stated though, barbarians have no sustain. They can't use the alignment skills very much or quickly run out of spirit, but still useful in pvp since your not going to be fighting very long, just untill your opponent dies, only problem is in pve.

I just see barbarians are mainly loved in groups and still have some soloability.

I have to disagree.  A knight with concecrate will do more damage a barbarian without.  How much of a difference will 10 stamina make in swing speed overall really?

Its also because they don't wear heavy armor so they don't get penalized as much. Also in a group the knight will also be casting concecrate on your weapon as well.

Then theres also jewelry, a knight benefits the most out of rings that give melee and/or magical damage resistance while a barbarian benefits much more from rings like this:

(Sorry I just found this baby I had to show it off :))

I do agree with you on barbarians falling a bit short thats why my main was a barbarian that I retired at lv 66. But once more people are around to play with or if your into pvp Barbarians will be a lot more playable.
