Is there a recent list of all available quests, preferably with the recommended level and a brief description?
I've noticed the one in the Player's Guide but it doesn't seem up to date.

I'm still waiting for a reply on this. There is a lot of outdated information that contradicts what I assume is up to date(?).

Some examples would be..
-Class guides: They offers good advice, but mentions choosing an allegiance at level 5-6. I read that you choose your allegiance at level 20 though?. And it seems there have been updates to damage that conflicts with what the guides say?

-Quests: On the forum it says there was a large update that gave players a quest chain called "Chapter 1" that can take you to level 20. On the Player's Guide there is a handful of quests/side quests that may or may not be out of date (view warning message at the top of the page). I assume that if the quest information is out of date it means there are more quests for chapter 1 and/or chapter 2+?
 
-Good vs Evil: Assuming I choose my allegiance at level 20 which is right where Chapter 1 leaves you is perfect because then you can start doing allegiance based quests (right..?); Some parts of Fantasy Realm say there is no Evil quest chains atm, some say there are(???).

Now I've been doing my very best to try and figure out recent information, but I can't make heads or tails out of what to expect from this game. 
I'd like to invest in to this; I think it has the potential to be a good RP platform, but without signs of activity / life i'm close to assuming it's a dying project.

I've noticed that there may be only 1 person working on this game, the creator Chris the Avatar? I'd like to apologize if this seems demanding. I can respect the work load this must be; you have a good thing going here I think. I've been waiting for a response to this and other questions and have only seen 1 other active person on FRO, a new player like me. 

If it's possible I would like to apply for a position on your team; I wouldn't mind cleaning up the website for you and keeping track of updated information. I'd really like to see this project grow.

EDIT: clarification / spelling

Not a dead project... I do take sebaticals from time to time... As I was just explaining to someone else I took the summer off to spend time with family and its been rather hectic at my day job so working nights can be a bit much sometimes. Generally speaking, things change fast once I get on a roll with updates which is why its difficult to constantly update the player's guide.

The quest list in the players guide should be fairly recent it was one of the more recent items I updated in the guide. Its not a cut and dry level on when you will have success doing quests, part of it really depends on how you built your character and what class you are. There are minimal levels for some questions to help flow control the game.

I honestly have not started chapter 2 quests yet. I wanted to get done enchantment first which is pretty much where I am picking up. I am also working on a package for players who are interested in helping with development and who want a private hobbyist server... I am hoping this will spur those who want to contribute to develop things like quests and other scripts that can be plugged back into the core of the game.

In short, you are right its been a ton of work for one person to get the game to its current state and every year it gets a bit larger and more difficult to maintain myself and I am getting older with less energy to contribute but I will be here as I have years of time invested in this project.

Would you say Barbarian is a good class for exploring the game solo? What class would you recommend?

I recommend starting with the knight or ranger but Khor will recommend Barbarian :-)...  Hehe, Knight and Rangers have the most diverse skill sets.

pfft the hell knight does! Throwing and dual wielding and lifetap! Barbarian ! Get a life regen ring ASAP and find a nice place to camp
