Title: Death
|
|
When I die, how long does my gear stay on the ground?
Is it just a few minutes, like droping something on the ground, or does it stay longer.

It is the standard 15 minutes although I have had suggestions to make it a little bit longer.

The goal is to allow the player to get to thier stuff but not let the random stuff lay around the map forever to clutter the map.
I'm not sure if cluttering the map with random dead bodies slows down the server but I think:
"the amount of time it takes to cross the map from one end to the other" is the time that should be allowed for a player to retrieve thier stuff"

I think it should be a lot longer
2 minutes in heaven
travel from some random church to Brimstone to reequip
travel from Brimstone to the dragon on level 3 of the mines takes longer than that

25 min is better, but is there really a problem with an hour?. The corpse can be looted by anyone during that time

An hour is a bit much I think... Corpses can be interacted with certain spells and an hour would also cause a build up of corpses when more people are on, potentially creating unnessecary lag. Lets see how 25 minutes works out.
