Title: The market

Is it selling too much game content? Experience, gold, and now gems. Experience and gold I can see from a person who played the game and the amounts aren't that great to ruin the game for other players but people who are thinking of joining the game may see this and think the game is a complete pay to win and don't ever play.

For the gems that were recently added kind of annoy me. I like how you can have new players go kill the newer mobs like the snake and get gems every now and then, which you can pay or trade for. As well the long grind to farm them for the smithing apprenticeship, someone can just pay a lot of money and finish it near instantly.

But thats just my opinion, I would love to know what you guys think of the market as a player or even for new people who are thinking of trying out this great game.

I AGREE:

Pay to win model irritates 90% of players and most eventually stop playing the game!

Games like this mean that a few players come along, dish out like $1000 and then go from a level 1 chracter to a level (top 10 players) in the very same day!  this is extremely unfair and eventually causes conflict because players can DOMINATE others to the point of "no return" and no one can catch up or keep up.  Then players quit permenetly those that had to work months or years to get the same result.

YOU either work hard like everyone else OR ***K off!

Pay To Play = Cheating To The MAX Degree!

With all due respect Purity have you had to pay for anything to play the game? Have you had to buy an item that you couldn't get in the game with? I would say this game is indeed free to play unlike other games out there...

From what I can see, the only items that you can get in the market that you can’t get in the game are clothing and purely luxury items... So no one has an advantage over you. If someone wants to spend 500 or 1000 dollars on their character because they don’t have time to build their character then so be it, I can understand that money ultimately equals time. The game has to be funded someway and this is better than a monthly fee... I guarantee the game isn’t free for Chris to run or develop. He has kept his word from what is posted on the site with the Marketplace, there are no magic weapons or armor being sold on the store that would give players unfair advantages over others.

Reading from past threads I am sick and tired of hearing from players who want to contribute nothing to a game but want to criticize everything that goes into it.

Yikes. You sure like to smack people around.

All I was saying is what the previous p-layer said:  don't allow players to use gold or gems or the such to gain levels, hordes of gold, special stat gear without having to work for it in the game.

Clearly, you weren't paying attention. I have nothing against players who buy special outfits that make them look nice and nothing else.

Oh, and by thw way, since this website is set up really well and also has a good game created, money can be make perpetually once set up using google anylytics AND/OR eventually converting the game into HTML5 auto running it as a website (merged into the one already set up) and then modifying some HTML scripts/code parameters to SEO google bot expectations and waalaa!  money can be made year round!

...... no one is complaining but yes, as game/web technology improves (open source code, free games, collaborative efforts, github) is the future we currently are altering too!  It's no ones fault for (supporting free game creation), it just is what it is.

No haters now.....wink
