Title: Class?
|
|
Greetings, dear Fantasy Realm players! I am curious what the community thinks about the current classes, their strenght and weaknesses and finally how they tier and sort out each class in terms of playability and functionality.
Best Regards,
Evander

Well I will give you some of the factual information, some of the other players can chime in:
-
Barbarian: Very strong damage dealer and easy to build up but not very defensive.
-
Knight: Somewhat of a "Slash" character. Very strong in defense and reasonably good in hand to hand. Has the ability to wear the most armor in the game. Though his armor can slow him down.
-
Ranger: A "Slash" character that can strike from a distance but is also good in straight hand to hand. No real weaknesses just very balanced in all areas.
-
Rogue: More of a sneaky type fighter more into stealing from his opponents and tricking them rather than fighting enemies head on. Not very defensive fairly limited in available armor and in offense.
-
Wizard: Weaker and challenging to build at lower levels but can become extremely powerful with ranged and mass spells as you level him.
-
Merchant: This class is completely dedicated to gathering materials and crafting items.

1.
-
Barbarian: (Evil) Probably the greastest dealer of damage using adrenaline. Thier defense is medium, with the largest life pool. Properly equipped and using lifetap thy can take a decent beating, but have no natural way to regenerate spirit which is required to use both the lifetap (heal), and adrenaline (damage) skills. So about 40 seconds you can have about 2x the damage and be very difficult to kill, but then you becominga basicallly a knight with much lower defense and a slightly more damage.
-
Rogue: (Good) Probably the weakest in damage other than a merchant, their have the best dodge rating and the absorb skill make them in my opinion the most durable class. Probably the melee class best suited to fighting high end casters creatures/players(other than a barbarian during his 30 seconds of glory :P)
More to come but I have to head to work now. A better way to look at classes is to look at what skills they have access to and how those skills compare to each other.
