Title: 0.9.8.0 client update?

Hi, I'm installing the game right now and after all the updates it appear a message saying "Please upgrade to the new 0.9.8.0 client to continue.[...]"

Any solution?

Make sure you are running from the shortcut that was created for you at install or your are running the FROClientPatcher.exe. It should bring up a window below that will patch your client upto the latest version which is 0.9.9i. Please let me know if this works or not for you.

That did not work. I just deleted the downloaded content from the folder and it fixed by downloading all again. : ) I'm downloading the rest of the patches right now. I will give my review later. : P

Hello,

I'm having this same issue... I've re-installed multiple times, and every time i launch it shows that play button i hit that, then it goes to a screen that says please install version 9.8 and is hot linked to your site which of course only has the current download. Is there another file that i should be using?

It sounds like its not picking up the patches for some reason. I will look into this and get back to you shortly

The patch server is up and running... try deleting all content in c:\Program Files(x86)\Fantasy Realm Online\Patches

 

Then re-run FROClientPatcher.exe

 

Also does it say Patching Completed Successfully?

 

What OS are you running additionally.

Thanks!! After clearing that folder and restarting it now appears to be patching. I'll let you know how it goes if i get in smoothly once it finishes.

Okay that was fast... It installed a new launcher apparently, and now as soon as i hit play it stops immediately and pops a window that states "An Error occured while patching. Please check the Patch Log for details and the Help and Troubleshooting to see how the issue can be resolved.

Also, i'm using Windows 7.

can you paste in the patch log... There have been several reported issues with this.
